What will Europe look like in another 10 years time? I am so glad I chose NZ as the place to live for my family.

It is sad to see, it is a place I wouldn't want to live now. Also what is happening with russia is another concern, and combined it looks like we are heading to a dark period.

Breaks my heart. Paris is a favourite city. So grateful for my memories of happier times. Sympathies to the people there.

I only found out about this at about midday, our time.

My sympathies to all the victims.

What's really scary is the French authorities / intelligence seemed to have no idea this was about to occur.

So they just killed all 100 people in this theatre?

Makes my day to day problems seem pretty insignificant.

I read something completely opposite. I read that French Intelligence had an idea something big was going to happen very soon.

Either way, its still sh*t.

I think as well as those who have been killed and injured and their families etc, I think it's worth sparing a thought or two for the law enforcement, and medical personnel who are putting themselves in harms way during these times.

It's incredibly scary to think people who do this to one another. We aren't very smart as a species, we don't really learn from our history OR our mistakes by and large.

So incredibly sad. All these people killed and many more people's lives ruined, just because of those selfish few.

New Zealand will change forever the first time it happens here.

I grew up with the IRA bombings and was in Deal when they blew up the Marines do have some inkling, although these religious nutters are worse.

We should be a lot more vigilant.

Reminds me why I generally prefer animals to people. The former group don't murder their own kind over religious and/or political differences.

Some animals eat their own over no difference at all.

We have had a couple of terrorist attacks long ago, although nothing on this scale.  Rainbow warrior and the Wellington trades hall.

If we allow it to affect our day to day lives then haven't the terrorists got what they wanted?

I am really glad I no longer live in Europe, I can't see how there isn't going to be a huge disruption to to average peoples day to day lifes.
