But I am told Chorus won't fix if its a internal wiring issue.. that they only go up to the ETP?

I think they will but you'll have to pay. dunno if they'll charge you more than someone else to do so though.

I would offer, but a bit far for me to come :)
You could just request a master splitter be installed - Chorus will do this, and if it is internal wiring, then that should fix it.

HI Dean,

I do believe Chorus are having problems with ther equipment at present.   I have been in contact with my ISP (Telstraclear) as the last few weeks my speeds at night have dropped dramatically at night.   I was on speeds of around 13+ mpbs but drop down to 2 around 2mbps at night, which is just crazy.   Today i got a call from a telstra tech guy and has confrimed that chorus are gaving problems as they have had quite a few complaints..  I have also noticed today that they have boosted the cabinet down the road to 21mpbs.  and im getting speeds of  between 15-16mbps.

Will be keeping close eye on this as these drops at night are not acceptable, even for net congestions these drops are far to high.

I have also emailed Enable Networks who have won the contract for the rollout of the UFB network in Rangiora and have had no reply on when they are planning on starting on this.
