DSL active since:
6 days, 18 hours, 19 minutes
VDSL2 17a (ITU G.993.2)

Lost 10 mbits per second from my downstream connection as a result of this, presume the move to 17a has caused this?  Anyway I can get this back up?

A nice upload bump. And a bit of a bump for the download too.

On morning of Anzac Day.

hio77: Interesting to hear you are getting latency movements.

I have the same problem too.  Before ddDLM, I was on 70 down, 30 up, and INP of 0, delay of 0ms.

And this is now:

Bearers generic info DS US
Payload rate [Kbps]: 69994 22188
Attenuation [dB]: 7.0 3.4
Margins [dB]: 9.9 8.5
Output power [dBm]: 14.5 -1.5

Number of bearers: 1
Bearer 0 DS US
INP [DMT symbols]: 2.50 0.50
Delay [ms]: 7.00 8.00
Depth []: 1271 0.00
R: 12 0

Hence, so far, ddLDM's gift to me is 8mbps lost on upstream, and more delays.   yell

Give it time to settle in is all i can say...

So far not many lines have seen the gradual movements ddDLM is meant to do.

Yes, will leave it to settle.

By "gradual movements", do you mean one change daily at around 4am?

Presumably you were on 17a before ddDLM and still on it afterwards? Interesting that you've lost some sync speed - what could be the reason for that? Could it be increased crosstalk from 8b lines switching to 17a, meaning more competition on parts of the spectrum you previously had more to yourself?

My line hasn't changed since a day or two after the switch. Hanging in there on 17a with 68/14, 8dB/8dB, and lots of interleaving.

Yes I was on 17a before the change and maxed out the ikano card at 70 down / 30 up.  I don't think too many of my neighbours have VDSL so not too sure crosstalk getting worse on not.

Not that I am complaining.  What I have now is still pretty good and make no noticeable different prior to the change.

but the ping goes up from 5ms to 20ms on speedtest now. So I guess mine didn't change much.

I'm disappointed with the changes.  Currently syncing at a lower speed with higher latency, and a different profile and its been like this since last Sunday, very little evidence that the DSLAM has attempted to move the sync around.

Yes i do.

So far I've seen one vdsl line make per line value adjustments.

I'll post up a screenshot probably tomorrow of my line. I poll my modem and store data into an elk stack.

Had periods of 17a, dropping back to 8b.
For my line i very much agree with ddDLM that 8b is more ideal than 17a.

I would say tbough the two profiles preformed almost identically. Maybe a slight drop in upstream.
On paper i would have expected downstream to take a beating tbh.

Realty vs theoretical eh? Just a little example.

Looks like my ADSL2 line was done early this morning, gone from 8.6/0.9 to 11.6/1

So my VDSL line has still not improved 9 days later, still on 17a with loss of downstream and continued reduction in upstream.  Shame that this hasn't been an improvement in comparison to others.

Don't try to force back down to 8b, I messed with that the other day... Totally broke my line somehow..

Still at a loss of what exactly happened unless it totally perfectly timed with a copper fault returning!

A 34% increase is nice! We are on 13.3/1 right now so that would see me jump to approx 17.5/1.1 I'd take that for free.
