How does Vimeo load for you? It could just be a youtube issue with your isp.

The ZyXEL. to me, looks like it is also a router. Is there something comparable to the Draytek Vigor 120 for VDSL2, just a modem?

I'm pretty sure the Vigor 120 is also a router, however just like the ZyXEL, users use it in full bridge mode to made it work as only a modem.

Note sure what you mean, the Vigor 120 is also a router!

Remember the VDSL2+ service uses PPPoE, bridging PPPoE to another device is a standard feature on practically every modem/router unlike the tricks needed to bridge PPPoA on DSL here in NZ.

The 3G fail-over sounds like it could be useful for the SOHO space or small business segment.

It may be overkill for my needs so may go down to the N version (without VOIP). I think it is around 450 from Paradigm - is this around the price people have been paying for VDSL modems?

If you don't need VoIP you may as well opt for a Zyxel and save yourself ~$100.

Personally I think the best device right now is the Fritz! 7390. If you're happy to pay $450 get one of these.

What do people think of the DrayTek Vigor2750?
This is just the VDSL modem/router with 4-port switch (no wireless-N or VoIP)

And then pairing this with a TP-Link TL-WR1043ND for my Wireless-N needs.
I would rather have separate devices, rather than the all-in-one DrayTek Vigor2750n (or Vigor2750VN).
As I could easily switch back to using ADSL2 with my old model if needed, and keep the wireless AP.

I have access to SnapperNet for the Vigor2750.

Will be setting this up in my home office where I work, as an upgrade from ADSL2, using the Hosting Direct VDSL special.

I've got my VDSL2 through maxnet.co.nz , They will happily offer it to you as part of business solutions etc, however for residential it looks like it may only be available on request as it's not on the their website yet.
