Ok thanks for the time spent on my thread.

I guess I will go back to ADSL+2 since I have found no solution and since its faster than VDSL via Wireless.

you should never expect a fast connection via wireless regardless.. it is totally naive to expect wireless to max out unfortunately.

I wonder. If he goes back to ADSL and its also gets WiFi issues. Must be the ADSL at fault and need VDSL to get faster WiFi?

I get max speed on adsl same as wired. and it is faster than vdsl wifi.

Only thing changed is bridging a router to a modem but I'm still using the same modem router so it shouldnt change anything ? or does the modem im using to link the net to my router affect the wifi speed.

i suspect your real issue is your not bridging correctly with the vdsl modem.

if the data is going via the same wireless access point, it will preform the same there abouts.

you have to consider interference etc though.

Ok thanks for that, I haven't heard about bridging incorrectly since it works I thought there was only one way of bridging. I'll look into that.

I'm not accepting interference since my ADSL wifi was full speed so unless VDSL runs on a different wave length then there's nothing wrong.

well there is because your modem is syncing to the DSLAM at a fast speed, so the connection from your house to your ISPs (chorus's) gear is fine. the problem is from your modem to your device, so the problem is yours not your ISP's and its not VDSL's fault

try using your ISP's supplied modem to deliver your wifi and see if there is any difference in speed.

its fine under ethernet its not fine under wireless its not hard to see what the problem is. its your wireless connection.

sort the wireless side of your connection out and enjoy VDSL

exactly this.

not sure how else to explain it, you rightfully did the tests over ethernet. which proved your wireless is at fault. your 5ghz wireless alone to be exact.

try the 2.4ghz wireless

also try the wireless in the isp supplied modem
