I am going to get UFB installed soon, so I am planning to put in a data cabinet (home distribution box) in. I got the Dynamix HWS-2803V which is pretty big, but the depth will not allow most UPS power supplies to sit inside the cabinet AND also plug things into the UPS.

Are there tiny UPS units available?

I see on this page that Chorus might provide a UPS? Is this a nice one that would fit in the cabinet?

What have others done? Mount them externally? There is another thread here and here but no solutions for anything that will fit inside a cabinet.

I guess finding a UPS where you can eventually replace the battery with a generic one from somewhere like Dick Smith or Jaycar would be awesome. Not sure if that's possible/practical. I agree with everyone else, get a larger one and feed the power to where you need it.

Check out this thread for general UPS advice. The general advice seems to be digitus/dynamix and replace the battery occasionally, or APS if you want higher quality at higher cost and perhaps higher standby power draw.
