Hi,
I'm about to wire up a property for dual/bonded VDSL lines.  One will be naked and the other clothed.  I plan to install a master filter on the clothed line at the ETP.

I picked the location especially because it's close to the exchange so want to make sure that I do everything possible to maximise the line speeds.

Bearing in mind the line length from exchange is around 100 metres (Prequal came back with 1dB attenuation), I have two questions:

1. Will running two VDSL services down the same ~7m of Cat6 cable be a problem (ie: Should I run two Cat 6 cables from the ETP to my two modems)?

2. The lead in from the plastic pillar is ~18m of 4 core (2 pair) non twisted pair in a conduit. Chorus can replace it with 23AWG twisted pair cable for a small fee (around $200) - is this worthwhile?

edit: Changed "will replace" to "can replace"

1. running both down the same CAT6 cable will be fine
2. For $200, I'd replace it, but I'm sure most of those 2pair lead'ins are twisted (even lightly twisted) and should be ok. It was the old single pair ribbon type that is bad for VDSL.
