Got a chorus visit tomorrow, the ONT is already installed (we just moved in) but the nearest power point is on the opposite side of the room and there was no power adaptor here.

Has the power adaptor been stolen/should have been left by previous tenant?

Is it likely chorus will have a spare?

VF didn't even tell me the tech was booked until I called to ask why they weren't updating me, so now I've less than a day's notice to try and get leave from work. I'm worried the install won't complete if someone has nicked the power supply.

If there is no power pack pluged in to the ONT, then yes the previous tenant has nicked it. ( I dont know why they keep taking them as they have a plug on them that isnt commonly used by any other device and wont do them any good to have it). {note : they can also get sent the bill for replaceing it}

There are two models of power supply  - a power pack and 'jug' cord arrangement (similar to a lap top power supply) and the newer one, which is a smaller power  pack which just plugs into the power point (like a phone charger)

The installers will have spares but if as you say there is no power point near then you will have to supply an extn cord and multiboard to plug every thing up.

VF should have sent you the router already and the techs will need this to liven up data and voice (if not techs do carry or can obtain spare routers localy) - {note : VF & Spark only as far as im aware}

EDIT: removed most of the typos
