over the past few weeks my letterbox has been bombarded with offers to install fibre which has just been installed in our street.

So I rang our ISP - you need to take a 1 year contract. I don't want a 1 year contract as we are moving later in the year. Okay that will cost you $250!.

I thought UFB was what the government/chorus were wanting. Once it's installed then its available to anyone else who my move into my property. Even though I discussed transferring our account when we move, they would only waive the install costs if our new property had fibre.

No wonder the UFB uptake is slow. Sometimes it's too hard.
