We're working on some new tech and the decision has been made to roll it out to a new sub-brand which we're building on a segmented part of our network.

What we can prove works well and other practices we learn along the way may make its way into our Regional ISP offering (Full Flavour Bay of Plenty).

Some examples of what we're up to:

An option to enable IPv6-only (with NAT64 / DNS64). I believe this is a first in NZ.
New online ordering/billing/support platform*
New provisioning platform*
New Juniper BNGs with automation integration - the minute Chorus complete the activation of our service on the customer's ONT, the customer's router will get online (DHCP, no VLAN-tagging)
Weekly billing with Stripe integration

*Making use of existing Chorus APIs and new APIs as they become available

What we're after

Tech-savvy individuals interested in using our broadband service who have a willingness to provide us feedback on their experience with the service.

The detail

Beta users can choose to BYO router or use a provided Huawei HG635.

Beta users will pay $13 weekly via credit/debit card for a 100Mbps download / 20Mbps upload UFB service.
This covers Chorus line charges, payment platform fees and GST.

Beta users will be offered this pricing for a minimum 12 months, even if the beta program is withdrawn.

Beta users may cancel service at any time with no notice period or ETCs.

Beta program only available to users located within the Auckland UFB area. You can check UFB availability on the Chorus website.

To apply, drop an email to beta@fullflavour.nz or send me a PM via Geekzone.

If the weekly billing is really weekly and the turnon time is fast I can see this being useful at holiday homes etc where paying for a full time fiber connection is a waste too.
