Hey Everyone.

I currently have a VDSL connection and are looking to get the best performance out of it as the house has a mixture of non-twisted four and two pair wiring throughout including the wiring coming in from the ETP.

I have also looked in the roof space for the viability of doing it myself, I could clumsily do 50% of the work but the other half has a very awkward spaces and would most likely need cable push/drawing tools which I do not have. So, might as well have someone do the lot.

My question, much the subject name is how much does the $250 premises wiring get for an existing house?
On the surface I understand that it would replace all the existing cable from the ETP to the jack points with CAT6 cable but what else?

Can I have additional Jack Points installed?

If the aerial lead in cable from the roadside is not up to current standards, say it also is not twisted, can I have this replaced though it is still "in working order"?

I am also aware that Fibre is due to roll out in my area in 2020 but might as well improve what I have currently while I wait.

Cheers all!

I'd personally not pay Chrous to do a single bit of any wiring on my own site given their techs track record.
It is also $250 flat fee, some techs just get it going to "Spec" and that can cost you $250 when they don't actually do anything apart from use some crimps.

I would see a qualified electrician as they will actually do what you request and not blab on about "To spec" crap which is just utter BS for "Getting it working with minimal effort"

Most connections do not come with internal wiring, they just connect you on street and expect you already have jack points, a line in from the street etc.

Standard connect is the $40-$50 option that is free with a contract for ISP's. BigPipe I think makes you cover this yourself.
Connection with wiring is the $250 which means the tech checks inside your house and gets it working to the first or a new jack point with least effort.
New connection is a new lead in from the street that requires a visit, planing and costing.
