I am not after a monitor at the moment, but am just curious on one thing: can anyone share their experience on using a 4K monitor, 27-inch or above, on windows 10?

I have a 1440p, 27-inch monitor and it is OK (part of the monitor have a bit of de-colourisation (does such word exist?) / or something like a small purple patch). This makes me thinking about what my next monitor would be...

I am happy with 2560x1440 on 27 inch. However, seems to me 4K monitor between 27 and 29 inches have gone down in price recently, so want to know people's experience on 4K monitors of that size range.

I believe things would be quite small if the scaling is set to 100% on Windows 10? What sort of scaling do you use and how good it is?

I am not a gamer so my usage is mainly web browsing and office type of work. But my wife does some photo editing occasionally.

I use a 4k 43" monitor for work, I enjoy being able to snap 4 objects to each corner, and having being able to very everything with no issues. Yes its big but for my work its great! I also looking at a simple 24" 1080p screen in portrait mode, for when I need to read content like outlook/github/guides and forms. i have done 27" and 32" 4k and you can't use 100% scaling imho, I think around 40" is good. 27" I would stick with 1440p even 32" 1440p is still good.

I'm using a 40" 4K TV as a monitor at 100% scaling, although I'd actually prefer something slightly smaller (at the same or higher resolution and picture quality). I'd say that one of the 32" 4K monitors would be perfect, although the 40" TV's are cheaper.

Just make sure that you can connect and run it at 3840x2160, 60Hz, 4:4:4, etc. That requires either Displayport 1.2 or HDMI 2.0 minimum on both PC and monitor/TV, as well as high quality cables.

I use a 43" 4k Philips monitor for gaming. Only 60hz though but it works fine for me. Run it with a 1080TI Card.

Keep in mind that if you get something around 27" 4k with 100% scaling, the icons and text will be VERY small.

I am using 2x 27" 4K monitor at 100%. You do need good eyes but once you're used to the small text/icons, you really enjoy the sheer amount of stuff you can fit on your monitor(s)
