I've been given access to someones shared folder on Google drive which they update with some files - is there some way for me to sync the changes to a local drive ? If it was my drive, then obviously use the Google backup and sync.... but being a shared folder/drive......

business drive allows this with Shift - Z on the folder and add it to my drive. Not sure if it works on free?

Does that folder not show up in your google sync app? I thought I remember that it did.

Go onto the google drive website, go into shared with me, right click on the folder shared to you and select add shortcut to drive. That should do it.
