USD. Which is about double what I paid for my 48" C1!

They need to get out of town with that nonsense.

The C1 is for viewing content & gaming - it has limited color gamuts & can't really be used as a production monitor which is the clear focus of the new Ultrafines (for comparison Apple's Pro XDR 32" starts at NZ$9,599 with standard glass). So LG's OLED could be very tempting for professionals but too early to tell until its reviewed.

Funnily enough, the panels aren't actually produced by LGD, but they are instead using Japan OLED (JOLED) sourced units, so this will be a first.

"Burn-in" is effectively a solved problem in OLED TVs now, so I imagine it would be well into 10,000+ hours before you would reasonably expect uneven pixel wear issues.

What makes you say it's solved? Certainly still a problem in phone OLEDs. I'd like to read any info about what's been done to solve it though, it's one of the biggest things that makes me avoid OLED.

All LGs have features which point to it being very not solved, such as pixel shifting which users have reported as very annoying for desktop work.

So I decided to splash out and get one of these gaming massage chairs to replace my current office chair. Should provide for a much needed relief at the end of each day!

I've been working from home for years, first time I've set up a proper space to do it in this house though.  Went alright today, despite being so crazily busy I haven't even looked out the window I was stoked to have beside me.

How do you find your chair? I'm finding my boys gaming chair isn't helping my back and shoulders.

It surely depends on the type of chair you're looking for, plus what it takes to break your particular bank...

If you're ok with a standard-looking office chair, I was recommended the Spectrum 3 during an occupational assessment, and it's fantastic - the most comfortable padding on a seat I've used. I've got the wider base model at work, and that's definitely more comfortable - I bought the standard-width base for home (second-hand) and it's good, but not as super-comfortable (YMMV on this!).

Not terribly cheap new, but you can find them second-hand; also, cheaper versions that aren't as adjustable (eg, with the Spectrum 2 I don't think the seat angle is adjustable).

I guess that depends on what you mean by break the bank, also how tall and fat you are :-) I'm a big bloke which reduced my choices somewhat, I ended up whittling my choices down to the Knight Group Plymouth vs the EOS Spectrum 3 long/wide . I decided the former was the comfier of the two and my Plymouth cost me around $700 4 years ago.

Depending on where you are located try these guys - they resell office furniture for a charity: All Heart Store | Shop for Good

I got a $1500 chair almost as good as new for $320 a couple of years ago.

Here is a formway life chair for $450: https://manukau.allheart.store/collections/office-chairs-1/products/grey-and-black-office-chair?variant=39465894117485

Typically about $1,500 I think.

It's great for me.  Same chair I've been using in jobs for the past 10+ years.  Not the same chair itself, but same make/model that I've had each job get for me.  Haworth Zody.

Similar thoughts here. Office chair is heavy and sinks into the carpet, I think we may have used double underlay. I believe I need a chair mat. Any suggestions or avoids?

Separately thinking a lighter chair may have other ergonomic benefits.

I bought a polycarbonate one from OfficeMax at least six years ago, it gets used 10-12 hours a day, 6-7 days a week.
It's just now getting to the stage where I am seriously considering a replacement
