Hey,

I've been doing some reading online about what parts are better than others and it's not quite clicking in my head. Ican understand differences in cpu and memory, but im not sure about cooling, etc. I'm looking to either buy or build a pc in a bit over a month that will allow me to play better games than my intel hd 3000 laptop. I'd probably lean towards higher spec if it means I can have it in use longer.

Currently the game I want to play is Final Fantasy XIV, but as time passes games get higher detail so I'm not sure what graphics card I should get. My plan for the computer is to use it as a dlna server so it'll be on near constantly. Other than dlna and the occasional video transcribe it'll will mainly be used for gaming, web browsing, and some coding. I'm not too concurned about operating system, will probably use 64bit windows 8.1 as that's what I currently use.

This thread is mainly looking for the best places to get computer parts, cases, moniters, etc in New Zealand, give advice on what parts would be good and hopefully critique my list of parts that I'll put together after getting ssome advice. Total price limit should be around $2000nz.
