i one of my ssd needs a firmware update

 

it the first time i have updated a ssd

 

 

 

will all the data be wiped when in do it ?

Yes, it is possible to lose all your data when updating the firmware on an SSD.

 

So before updating firmware you should backup all data on the SSD. I would have at least two or three recent backups at any time.
