My previously reliable desktop PC is now refusing to fully operate. It starts to load the OS and then crashes.

This happens with the Win10 on the HDD. It gets to show the windows symbol in the middle of the screen and the dots do about 3 revolutions and then stop.....

I have two DVD with versions of Linux Mint and these do a similar start and then stop.

I have put the memory through a test and it appears OK.

Any other suggestions?

UPDATE:

Got the replacement card yesterday and set up ready to change. I had tried starting several times while waiting for the new card and it failed at the same point every time. For some reason I tried it again and at the ' fail point' the display flashed a few times and then the Repair screen appeared. I let it 'repair' and after rattling around it suggested a Restart I restarted and all was well. It has been OK since.

Thanks to all who offered help
