I've tried Teamviewer and Anydesk.

Both think I'm a business user now and have shut me out.

Remote Google Desktop was suggested as a solution for accessing a PC I keep in the garage.

This access issue has now extended to mum's computer in a different town.

I'm trying to setup Remote Google Desktop on her pc, well actually I have, but I'm struggling to find a way to simplify the access, ie no input from her.

Currently I can make it work if she opens RGD and gets it to generate a one-time code, which she can tell me over the phone, and then I key that in at my end, she then approves the connection and away we go. But no way I can see to allow permanent access.

This is not how it works accessing my pc at home, where I can see my garage pc on a list (I ended up making a browser shortcut to it), enter a PIN and voila!

Is my problem caused by her machine and my machine using different google accounts, or am I missing some secret step somewhere?

EDIT: yes, I've googled for answers, but nothing I've seen so far seems to help. And no one mentions whether differing google accounts makes a difference or not, so hoping someone here has been through this already.

You can install Google Remote Desktop for unattended access. This allows you to access at any time.

Instructions on this page: Access another computer with Chrome Remote Desktop - Computer - Google Chrome Help under "Set up remote access to your computer." Make sure you log in on the other computer using your Google account. After setting up, you can log out.

To see the computers you can remote control visit Remote Access - Chrome Remote Desktop (google.com)
