If anyone has Netflix installed on their Windows Phone, have you managed to get it working at all? I keep getting this error code Q8156-887A0004. I have done what the Netflix site said to do which is hold down Power and Volume until it reboots, but still no luck.

Mine is Lumia Denim too (830) with Unblock-Us on the router, but keeps coming up with that error.

Have you tried turning Mobile Data off, to prevent it going to Google DNS?

Netflix apps have been updated to force using Google DNS, bypassing your router's DNS, to go around those services. By blocking/dropping packets to Google DNS you can force those apps to use your service instead. This has been documented on Roku, Android, Amazon Fire TV, etc... Just suggested in case they have changed the Netflix app on Windows Phone (which was updated this week) to do the same.

You need to block some DNS servers on the router by means of a firewall rule or simply setting a null route: http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=151&topicid=162174

Oh thanks, didn't know that.

works fine for me on a Nokia 925 running WP 8.1.  I simply have unotelly dns configured on the router, no other trickery involved.

I've only used unotelly, and would happily recommend it

Its working for me now too, didn't bother with the Google DNS thing. Maybe the Denim update fixed it.

I doubt it was Denim. Samsung, Panasonic, LG devices now have Netflix in New Zealand - my guess is they started relaxing the rules now, seeing the service launches in a few days.
