Nokia Lumia 710 on Vodafone?

Hi everyone, just a quick question, will the Lumia 710 work OK on Vodafone's network? From what I understand it has the 900 and 2100 bands so it should be OK? As its a Telecom exclusive, why does it not have the 850 band?

So the specs listed on the Nokia site are incorrect? Or will there be two variants for NZ?

The specs listed are incorrect for NZ. NZ version only supports 3G/UMTS/WCDMA 850MHz and 3G/UMTS/WCDMA 2100MHz. If you buy the Lumia 710 from Telecom store, Noel Leeming or The Warehouse, it will work on Vodafone and 2Degress on 3G in main city centres but it will be 2G everywhere else.

If you want the Vodafone/2Degrees version then you will need to buy it from website's like parallelimported.co.nz or mobicity.co.nz

Do whatever you want to do man.

DO NOT BUY THE NOKIA LUMIA 710 FROM TELECOM OR ANY NZ RESELLER FOR USE ON VODAFONE OR 2DEGREES.

Thanks for the heads up on the incorrect information.

As stated above TNZ will have the 850 variant of the 710.

I've forwarded the error to those who manage the site for correction.

The Nokia NZ still has this listed as GSM 900/1800/1900 and WCDMA 900/1900/2100. What are the operating frequencies for the NZ device. I had a look at one in the Telecom store and despite what Mr Freitas says I would be tempted to run one on 2Degrees if it has GSM900/1800 and WCDMA2100 radios. NoWCDMA2100 would be a deal breaker though.

You can use on 2degrees and Vodafone. The problem is that in some new areas Vodafone has one WCDMA 900 MHz, so you would have a spotty service using this device.
