Battery life is much better on my 920 since installing the latest update to Nokia Drive+ with the battery saver setting.

Before the update it would sound a low battery alarm at 7pm.

After I have 65% battery remaining at 10pm

DSE swapped my pocket heat pump for a new 920! So far, so good! Haven't noticed it heating up at all (last one would get noticeably hot even when doing nothing) very happy with their customer service!

Does anyone know if anywhere stocks cases?

ekud: DSE swapped my pocket heat pump for a new 920! So far, so good! Haven't noticed it heating up at all (last one would get noticeably hot even when doing nothing) very happy with their customer service!

Does anyone know if anywhere stocks cases?

Another GZ user is selling a brand new and sealed otterbox case. Great case.

My Lumia 920 can last more than 24 hours these days with a single charge. If I go out and use it (checking emails, Twitter, Foursquare, etc) it can still last the whole working day.

Yes my experience was the same. It took about a week and then the battery life became stable with the phone lasting anywhere from 20 – 30 hours on a single charge.

However, something has changed very recently, last night the phone had 80% charge, woke up this morning to find it had dropped to 15%. The only thing I had changed was installing Baconit.

Is anyone aware of any issues with that app?

Will keep posting my woes here in case I find a solution and it helps others.

Have uninstalled Baconit as it was the only change since the battery life became poor (other than the latest round of updates). Also uninstalled Facebook as I have read that others have found this to be an issue. Unfortunately the battery is still draining very quickly in standby.

Any thoughts on next steps?

Considering a full reset...

Wait a couple more days. Then check again. It does take a few days for a battery to operate at their best level.

Considering a full reset...

Install Battery Stats and see how that looks over time.

PS: the Facebook app was updated, yesterday? - heaps faster. No idea on power consumption tweaks though.

Make sure you have the latest update for Nokia Drive+ This was causing my 920 battery to last less than 12 hours and for it to run very hot.

As soon as I got my 920 I ran the battery flat fully flat a few times. Im getting awesome battery life comapred to my Samsung Omnia 7. 2 emails and a few live updating tiles running. Currently been 10 hours since last charge and have got 84% remaining. Thats checking thigns like the people hub and things like that quite a bit during the day too.

Considering a full reset...

FIXED: Completed a full reset of the phone and restored from back-up. All went very smoothly, retained the core settings and downloaded all my apps automatically.

Battery life is immediately back to what it was prior to the issue, currently 18 hours since charge, 58% battery remaining. So I am quite happy with that.

As an aside my wireless charging stand arrived today. Ordered from Expansys, painless, took a week to arrive. Looks very cool sitting on my desk!

AT&T/Rogers Lumia 920s just got an update that fixes the camera and battery life among other things.

It isn't coming anywhere else until February 2013.
