paradoxsm:
Could someone try (if you are bored and have time etc)
installing x-plore and use it to open a video file internally (It should play back though the hardware decoder and overlay on to the TV-out but play back internally through x-plore with no nasty realplayer involved.)

Just tried with lastest xplore 1.33 version, tried to play foo fighters music vid -xvid avi- and wont play.
I'm guessing no codecs available, how do i solve this?
I'm off to find mobile codecs for symbian.
heavenly_wild: My good old N95 was able to play videos quite nicely when it was converted from the dvd so I am sure the N97 can too. It must be the quality you guys are talking about that is causing the videos to stutter. The screen is only so big so if you downsize the quality I am sure you won't notice it.
