sidders80: Thanks for the response guys. I am going to try and find a red one tomorrow at a telecom store first and then go from there.
Devices:
HTC One
iPad 3rd Gen
HP Pavilion m6
sidders80: talk about experience and this is what I have experienced so far. Bought a red 920 less than 2 weeks ago. Had some issues and spoke to telegistics who said this needs to be booked early life failure so go back to your retailer and they will organise a replacement for you. Went back to warehouse stationery last week who sent my phone in. Today I get a call that red one is out of stock and there is no further stock coming in so my options are either take a black one or take a refund as brightstar cant supply them with a red or a yellow one but have heaps of black ones. Oh and also if I want the black one I need to return the wireless charger which doesnt come with the black one.
nathan: Brightpoint I think you mean. Probably what they mean is they can't confirm when they will get new stock, not that will never be any new stock
My guess would be a month away
I just got rid of the last Red 920 I had otherwise I could help you out
You realise you can get the proper 920 cases from Nokia which are brilliant and totally cover the phone and let you hide whatever the underlying colour, is if you wish
ie my Black is now protected with a Cyan case

I can confirm that the Nokia cases are very very good, it's almost impossible to tell the phone has a case on it. It would be a very good way to change the colour if you can only get black.

Why would they change the name? They already have a good brand name in the market, who knows what or who "Here" is
nathan:DuncanMcC: One thing I hoped Portico might fix (reset) was my Exchange connection. It's still set to 'push' - but just polls every 15 minutes, as it's always done on my 920.
This happenned after I changed phones from my Samsung i917.
I guess what I'd like to do is completly remove my Exhchange connection/profile - and hopefully on re-connecting it will pick it up from scratch again, and start "push"ing - instead of polling like it is.
But I don't know how to do that.
I've already disconnected the phone from Exchange, turned off the Exchange "Mobile Serivies" - everything. And then re-connected, but to no avail.
I will bet money on the fact that this is nothing to do with WP but your infra
In my experience this is usually down to time out settings on perimeter devices like firewalls in regards to inactive HTTP connections. If this is set too low then you will have this behavior.
Your point that it works with Android and not with Windows Phone 8 is all about how direct push is implemented. Windows Phone is far more optimised with EAS to save power and data, we try to setup a ping interval based on handshake with the server and will try to get as close as 8 minutes between the pings as possible, it might be longer.
iPhone and Android implement their own way of doing this which is different, normally hardcoded into the device based on a fix number not variable like WP
So check your timeout settings for inactive HTTP connections on Firewall regardless if this worked with Android devices before. If there is a timeout value set below 8 minutes then this have to be raised to 31 minutes to make sure that the firewall does not kill the connection.
The fallback if this happens is 15 minutes scheduled synch so it fits the bill based on what you are seeing
I hope this helps
