magu:?

HP has an official Twitter account saying there may be more stock, just unsure of dates/qty/locations. Account is @BrynaAtHP?

Be interesting to see if the stock is offered at the same price, or if they mark it up due to the strong interest.?

I was thinking the same thing. HP is well aware of the interest now. They'd still be losing money, though.?

Why lose more when you can lose less?

http://www.ebay.com/ctg/HP-TouchPad-32GB-Wi-Fi-9-7in-Black-/103079364?_trksid=p4340.l2644

I've been watching a few of the auctions' last minutes and they seem to be closing just under NZ$340. Shipping to NZ would be around NZ$70, I think.

I'm a eBay newbie. Going after the cheapest on eBay with international shipping. Do I have to do anything regarding customs etc, looking and going after cheap pad & shipping. Like this:

I just looked on ebay myself (my first visit there). There are so many touchpad scalpers there, so many. I is a shame that a lot of people who would have actually wanted to buy these things got shafted by greedy turds looking to make a buck. I guess that's why our whole world is so borked Money mouth

The irony is that many are apparently selling on eBay for prices similar to those following the TouchPad's first price drop. Never sold at that price the first time around but it is now lol

This is what has always bothered me with situations like this.

It's all great that people are wanting to make an extra buck, but at the expense of people who genuinely wanted the product at a good price to make use of.

The ebay sellers had a hard time getting a hold of them so stop crying, if you took as much trouble as they did to get their hands on 1 you wouldnt think it was unfair(People camped Hp.com,amazon the entire weekend in USA as the slickdeals thread was @ 20posts every 45 seconds @ 4am in america, people camped outside bestbuy etc)

Some of the comments on the trademe auctions are not on aye. Its called opportunity.. why are people so mad. Get over it. Questions like I beat your an HP employee. So what if they are. That's the benefit to them for working at HP. Get over it people please.

Turns out JB-Hifi never sent back stock.

Latest mailer has them advertising the 16GB for $797 and the 32GB for $900-something.

I think its a generational thing, but I personally don't like that behaviour. Sure, it is well within people's rights to do that, but it is also taking advantage of a low stock situation when the right thing to do would be to purchase what you want for personal use and leave stock for others to take advantage of the low price.

I had an opportunity where I could've made quite a healthy profit on some Metallica tickets last year. I purchased some tickets, but then found I could get some better seats. As a result I had two spare tickets to sell. Instead of putting them on TradeMe with a stupid reserve, I sold them privately and for face value. They ended up going to someone at my wifes workplace, but I also had a waiting list of 6 other people (strangers), and had any of the sales fallen through, everyone would've been offered the same face value price.

A fair enough comment but a) I am not crying and b) I am not talking about some human who purchased one of them. When you see the images of people who have brought them by the dozen and are scalping them.. it really makes you wonder (well it makes me wonder at least).
