Hey i just tested the internet speeds on both my ps3 and desktop and my desktop results were 3.5mbs download and my ps3 results were 1.5mbs download.how does that work? when i'm running a network cable from my router downsatirs to my desktop upsatirs and the same with my ps3? I also checked our laptop upsatirs which is on wireless and even that is getting 3.5mbs.so how come the ps3 cant?Also i still get a very weak signal thur the cables.
silly question but were you doing the exact same thing to achieve those download speeds? ie: downloading the same file from the same source?
Incidentally, are you able to surf the internet on your PS3 as you would on a desktop? ie: you have access to a browser? I dont have a PS3 and am looking to get one.
Yes there is an internet browser included with the PS3 although the java compatibility is a bit suspect at times. Good enough to watch youtube on a big screen though.
