Well, my order finally went through, but to make up for the last time, I see it went through twice!

The tip about entering the post code for suburb was spot on, thanks whoever that was.

Yeah that didn't work for me. I think it was just up to luck whether you could connect to their backend address database.

I would LOVE to know how many connections they had. I don't think they had this issue with PS5 but the system would have still been the same.

I managed to get a Series X in the first run from Mighty Ape.

My brother decided to give "All Access" a go via Spark. Apparently they lost his order initially. They were able to sort it over the phone, now he's just got a notification saying an "Xbox One X" is on the way. Anyone else had issues with "All Access" via Spark?

Thanks.

After missing the 8am launch I then set my sights on the ever changing pre-order time with EB Games.

Around 2.50pm I got busy with work... aaaaand only got to a computer at 3.05!

Aaaaaand I got a console.

My receipt says 'Click & Collect December'.

I'll go in and grab it when it's ready and trade in my One X at the same time... I'm happy enough, they get my money early and I get to trade in my old XBox.

I don't work for Harvey Norman, independent IT consultant here.

No issues with HN pre-order. Paid in full, email confirmation, its delivery not collect at store, and I paid for delivery but that is ok.

The Series S is still available for Nov 10th.

Not as hot as the PS5 digital edition?

Seems to be a trend that the S sold out less, the UK is having the same trend. Spark still have them going back on sale tomorrow morning.

I'm still very tempted by the series s but it's that hard drive seriously putting me off. Everytime I think it would be ok I can't help but think $250 is worth it for the extra space and boost to 4k. I'm determined to wait and see how they are received hands on and for digital foundry to actually get stuck in to both and show off the differences properly before I make any decisions.

Accessories for Xbox announced:

Lots of people are speculating over this thing. Their phrasing in the tweet below of still iconic paired with the colour is making people think of sonic and assuming there's something going on between MS and sega we aren't in on yet.

Yeah there is a rumor that MS will announce Sega acquisition tomorrow during Sega's TGS keynote. It is a 4chan rumor which is mostly very unreliable.

Do whatever you want to do man.

ZeniMax and now Sega? That I struggle to believe.

Djinksta:

They still required Suburb lookup for Credit Card Billing address - So that method wouldn't have worked.

I've got one ordered for Click and Collect, however i noticed in the email, it says not till December 2020, so i know for sure they messed something up big time.

This morning, when I ordered one for pickup with the credit card, I don't remember having to select a suburb at all. I Just selected the previously saved address and checked out.

My memory could be faulty though as I wasn't paying too much attention, just trying to get through the process fast. EB games Australia sent out a guide that I can't find. They said to save the address beforehand,  not to refresh the page, just wait for the timer to expire and add to cart and checkout (from memory).

Well messed up is one way of putting it - Apparently (according to the rep i emailed) now they can't even locate my order in the system, despite having both an order confirmation email, payment taken and order history on my account on the website.

Remember these are gen 4 pci x4 ssds, the cheapest currently for 1tb is the gigabyte at 400 so this is damn good value and cheaper currently than the ps5 will be able to use

I can't argue with the price,as you say the drives themselves are expensive still. Just really sells me more on the series X over the s, if upgrading the SSD will be almost $400 I'd rather just spend $250 more up front and get the X with the bigger SSD in the first place.

Yeah there is some truth in that, although the belief is that the Series S will require ~40% less storage space per game due to the lower texture requirements so they're probably pretty close in terms of total initial storage; however the 1TB card on a Series S will go further as 1.5TB may be equivelent to ~2.3TB for a Series X if the reports are right.

The numbers I saw based on the one s Vs one X sizes was about 30% difference. So the series X would be the equivalent of the series s having 700gb which depending on the game is enough for a couple more games to be installed for some variety on offer. So adding the card will roughly mean:

500gb of s storage will effectively equal 650gb of X storage
1.5tb of s storage will effectively equal 1.95tb of X storage

1tb of X storage will effectively equal 700gb of s storage
2tb of X storage will effectively equal 1.4tb of s storage

Out the box the X seems to have the edge but adding this card will probably balance the storage out on the pair of them with 1tb going further on the s. For me the X probably has enough out the box but the s is just lacking a bit.
