So my initial impressions are it's obviously much faster. I am not sure how I feel about the new controller, I guess it's an improvement in some ways and the same things may be an issue too. 

The transition wasn't entirely as simple as I thought, during setup it asked me if I wanted to move settings from another device. I wasn't certain if settings also meant user data and games, so I said yes, but it moved the settings (whatever they were) and no content. To get the content I actually had to do that in the backup and transfer settings of the devices. It looked like it was going to take quite a number of hours so I went to bed. 

I did download and play one small game, and it works well. 

I guess I will know more tonight after I play some of the games like Borderlands 3. 

I don't love the shape or size of it, it's awkward for my AV rack. First world problems I guess.
