OK, I've got a WidComm Bluetooth dongle in my Shuttle SB51G, all set up fine, and I've just about managed to send/receive contacts/text files to/from my Nokia 7650.

However, despite reading everywhere that, before running Nokia PC Suite (I've got the latest one off the Nokia Support site), I need to change the properties in MRouter, all it lists is an IRDA port, which I don't even have!

HELP!!!!

How can I get MRouter to "see" my Bluetooth virtual ports?

mRouter will see the all ports defined in your Bluetooth configuration.

Make sure the ports are enabled. Open My Bluetooth Places and double-click My Device. These are the services your computer is offering. If My Bluetooth Serial Port has a red cross in it, mRouter will not see this port.

Then right-click the icon My Bluetooth Serial Port and check its properties. The COM port to be used on mRouter will be there.

For the initial communication from your computer to the 3650, make sure you have the devices paired. Open the icon corresponding to the 3650 and select the Serial Port icon. This will start a connection and closed it immediately. Just click ok, and the 3650 should "call back" on the server port.

That's what you should need.

Of course, if you had a configuration problem when installing the Bluetooth software you might end up having no COM port numbers available to use, but then you have to check your Windows configuration, possibly the BIOS config (for how many ports you physically have and how many are really enabled), etc...

OK, MRouter can't see anything other than an IRDA port (which I don't have!) - no Bluetooth options, nothing!

All Bluetooth ports are enabled and visible in the 'System/Hardware' view from the Control Panel. I've even wiped Nokia PC Suite and re-installed the bluetooth module/software, but to no avail!

HELP!

try going into modems in control panel. I have found that if you have an internal modem on say com3, this can screw up mrouter's finding of com ports
