This might belong more in windows.. if it does soz mate, move it if so, but its a networking protocol so yeh and could be a networking issue, im not sure.

Anyway.. I upgraded my main RDP Access server to Windows Server 2003 x64 R2 .. now RDP Console does not work anymore, Its the same setup as before, pretty much everything restored as a good migration should. But I can only RDP normally, which gives me a brand new desktop, regardless of wether I put the -console on the RDP shortcut at work, but if i RDP into another server at home, then RDP -console to the server which usually handles RDP, its fine!

So local -console works, but external directly to the same server does not !

Don't even know where to start on this one, but its damn annoying, as of course going through 2 rdp sessions to get my normal desktop i use at home is way slower!

Any ideas? haha, i seem to come up with the hard ones hey :) hehe

for some reason they switched the flag from "/console" to "/admin" in SP1 for vista and SP3 for XP.  I'm unsure as to why they didnt just provide both options....

I forgot i the rdp server at work is 03 and not my actual pc (xp) - opps, soo it worked properly.. but hah, i havnt done that before, weird results.

With the new RDP client that was released a few months ago they made the change with console mode - annoyed the heck out of me because I have to use RDP console into approx 20 servers and the program I had made to help me with this now has to be re-written for the new switch.....
