Cool. So it looks like the options are:

Option 1:

Option 2:

With both options I will be able to control everything as both the Dream Machine and the Dream Machine PRO have built-in controller capabilities.

Yup those are the best options. UDM vs UDM Pro - both have the controllers built in. Best comparision I've seen is here - https://evanmccann.net/blog/unifi-routers-overview.
Really comes down to your features now. If you want DPI+IPS/IDS on full gig then the UDM Pro is the way to go.

SumnerBoy:

Shout out to Gowifi.co.nz as well - they stock all the Unifi gear and are great to deal with.

I have no affiliation with them BTW, just a happy customer.

They are a couple of dollars cheaper than PBTech. Thanks for the tip!

So, I was having issues with my Mikrotik reaching 100% of CPU sometimes... have installed the below devices yesterday:

They work pretty good. The management is SOOOO easy. I have more visibility on what's happening too. It is a bit pricey but I had an Asus gaming WIFI6 router before, so you add that with the mikrotik, it's almost the same cost.

and I have enabled IPV6 as well which is working fine. I'm trying to create a vpn server now.

I'm waiting on your next solution.

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

I went the all Unifi way recently, UDMP and a U6 LR, couldn't be happier.  I used this tutorial for an incoming VPN, was pretty easy.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AI8fPdO2qio
