Thanks Mike for your confirmation, I thought so myself, it would have been a mean machine if it did have...

I have received the Unifi UDM and out of box firmware was v1.4.5, finally after 3 hours I updated the firmware to version 1.7.2 and now seeing VLAN tagging under PPPOE.

Configurated and finally connected to the ONT after a few attempts, so I then fully reset the device and logged into 192.168.1.1 and re configured it fine.

I managed to put the device into recovery mode to update the firmware @ 192.168.1.30

What a nightmare it was to configure and disabling DPI helped a little so speed tests within the router was around 700Mbps down and 215Mbps up.

I then went into speedtest.net and selected Spark Wellington as my server and 910Mbps down and 440Mbps up with a Ping of 2ms

Some people mention to disable MMS Clamping but didn't make much difference.

Max speeds on Wi-Fi, iPhone X is around 180Mbps down and 290Mbps up with a ping of 3ms

I know as a single user I will never get 910Mbps but at least I know now what the unit can handle, not sure if these Speed tests are correct of just a gimmick reading.

I have added 2 Unifi POE managed switches and a Unifi AP PRO to my current controller and would like to add the UDM to it as well but I don't think I can?

So happy with my new Unifi network.

Yeah the UDM annoyingly won't join any controllers, and has to be used as the controller. I fully recommend migrating your stuff all to the UDM controller for the simplified unified experience, rather than spread across two different things.

Yeah the UDM works as a controller too, so this should be applicable

Also enable Wireless AI and run that across your access points once they’re adopted to the UDM controller. Enable fast roaming is turned on also.

If you’re only getting 200Mbit on an iPhone it sounds like you’re using a 40MHz 5G channel. Depending on how much interference there is around you, you should be able to use 80MHz channels and achieve around 600Mbit on the iPhones wireless. But let Wireless AI determine if this is possible.

Finally move all devices into one Controller using the UDM 192.168.1.1, so can I now remove the standalone controller?

Have tried all wi-fi settings you had suggested but still hitting around 170 - 200Mbps down and around 350Mbps up, I would love to hit the 600Mbps down, only 5 meters away from the AP, should I try splitting 2.4 and 5g instead of joining?
