Hello Everyone.

First things first Im a noob to this and im sorry if my terminology is a bit off.

I have a spark Fibre plan here in Dunedin.  I have been using a ISP provided huawei HG630B but its a bit crap and im about to get gigabit turned on! ( I would like to be able to set up VPN server in the future)

Any way I need help with the BASIC setup of this MikroTik Router RB2011iLS-IN.
I need it to plug the MikroTik straight into the ONT and then plug a wireless router into the Mikrotik. (ONT - eth1) then (eth2 to wifi router).  I would like the MikroTik Router to handle the DHCP and the wireless device to just transmit the radio. ( hope you can understand this)

I have done a bit of research and tried a few different things but i cant figure it out. I have already had to reset the Mikrotik router a few times as I disabled the local_bridge and was unable to connected to it via ethernet.

Looking at the settings on my Huawei I think I need to make a Vlan and tag it to 10 but Im just not to sure. Then bridge the connection?

If someone can help me make this work I would be very happy.  If someone can help me through this I will make a simple youtube video so then next noob doing this wont have to ask again.

Thanks in advance.

Zeke

All the best with your adventure with the mikrotik - they are great but a bit of learning is required - Michael has a great guide here
