Having found out I wont be getting UFB for a few years yet I have switched to cable broadband. All ok but I am missing the functionality of my old modem- can I just get an adapter for the coaxial to Ethernet and plug it into my old modem or are they just not compatible?
thanks

The new cable gateways are an all in one cable modem/router. There is no way to use a 3rd party router with this setup.

Your old device is of no use and can't be used unless you want double NAT which is a setup that should be avoided.
