Hello guys,

I have been attempting to set up my Apple Airport Express to act as an AP but the connection to the Fritzbox from 2degrees constantly disconnects (unstable connection). I have tried swapping the Airport Express with a TP-Link router but the problem persists. As the Fritzbox belongs to the landlord, I am unable to replace it but I do have access to the admin settings. Do advise on what's the best way to solve the issue smile

Not sure about the Airport but I'm on 2 Degrees with the same 7490 router.

I have a D-link router acting as an access point. You need to disable most of the features (ie DHCP, firewall etc) and set the access point to have a static IP. I think mine is set to one higher than the fritzbox 192.168.178.2 (or something like that).

Also don't plug the LAN cable into the WAN port of the access point, it needs to be in one of the LAN ports.

There are loads of tutorials online for this, just find one for your Airport.
