Hi Geekzone,

Can someone answer a quick noobie question please?

Having run out of spare ethernet ports to plug devices into a 'Allied Teledyne AT-FS716 10/100 Fast Ethernet Switch' has been dug up to give the extra 3 intranet/internet connections needed.

The current switch is a 'Micronet SP684D Gigabit Smart Switch' & its plugged into the ISP provided Fritz7490 modem/router which says its getting 50,6 Mbit/s8,2 Mbit/s. A speedtest confirms this with 47,1 Mbit/s down and 7,6 Mbit/s up.

Question: Will plugging the AT-FS716 provide any noticeable reduction in performance for the connected devices?
