Hi Guys

Wondering if anybody uses the Slingshot provided gf1v fibre router with a web server?

I have been forced to use this due to the fact that slingshots phone service must go through the router and not directly out of the ONT.

I was busy configuring port forwarding for various things I run at home and have run into a annoying issue trying to forward port 80 to my webserver.

The error I get is "Port 80 is in use by the routers HTTP server" so will not allow it to be directed.

I have never run into this before and cant think why it wont allow this, any ideas?

Ok so i finally figured this out in case anybody else runs into it.

I read that on some routers you need to disable the remote support option which can cause issues with this port. I did this but still no go.

For some unknown reason I decided to change the port for wan side RS (even though it was disabled) to 8080 and.....what do you know it allowed me to forward the port.
