I'm looking at my Active Directory 'powered' network and the distribution of my domain controller IPs in relation to my router and VDSL modem.  Presently, my router is on 192.168.1.1 with my modem on 192.168.0.1 with static links to allow access, however I was thinking of moving the modem in to the main IP range for simplicity...  As we're about to get fibre enabled in our street and therefore the modem will go the way of the dodo and be replaced by the ONT I was wondering whether the ONT had a user facing component or if it was simply a 'dumb' unit from the consumer perspective? There is no point moving the IP addresses around if I'm no longer going to need access to internet connection stats.
