Hi, I would like to move the Fibre ONT from one part of the building to another, so I need to reroute the cabling from the entrance point to where the ONT will be going to be while renovating.

Does anyone know what type of cable Chorus uses?, it looks like a CAT6 cable with a integrated fibre cable in one..

Rather do this myself as Chorus messed up last time.

Thanks

Regardless of what the cable is, you need Chorus to do this. It's their network, not yours.

Get a job in to have the move done, and when the tech comes out, either have the whole distance already done in conduit ready for them, or ask them to leave a length of cable for you to run, and they can return to do the termination and ONT move.

Yeh, true that, Thanks... So what is the 305m roll called?

It's called Optic@t but you don't want a 305m roll because that'll probably set you back $600ish without a good discount..  But more importantly it may not be the correct cable for the job because the whole cable back to the ETP will probably need to be replaced.

Seriously just call your RSP and get Chorus to visit. It's so much easier and less painful than the path you want to go down.
