Hi Guys

Just bought a new amazon kindle and im having trouble.
It wont connect to my wifi at home.
It finds my network, i click on it to connect but it fails to connect when i enter my password. It comes up with cant connect to wifi and please reenter password... over and over again

I have a belkin N/G router.
I tried all kinds of combinations of security but stuck with WPA2 + AES
There seems to be no reason for it not to connect. I even turned the security off on the router and it still didnt connect.
This morning I went to starbucks to see if I could connect to their wifi and it did.

Is there something setup wrong with my WIFI? Anything I should know? Any tips?

I would love some help because right now I am stuck

Cheers
Matt

Are you sure your router is set to MIXED MODE, and not N ONLY?

Hi Mauricio

I had it on mixed. Then I changed to just to G. Still no effect.
I restarted my router, restarted the kindle.
I tried my password about 30 times. Still no change
I didnt try WEP security but im assuming that if it didnt work with no security it wont work with that

Strange. Have you tried connecting to another AP to test?

Tried connecting it to another wireless router - friend's, Cafe, public free wifi at Wellington waterfront, etc? Just to make sure WiFi is actually working.

I tried connecting to starbucks in wellington this morning. Just stood outside
It was an open connection but needs a web password to get in. Like cafenet.
It connected and recognised that I needed the password to continue
I didnt go any further. I took that as the wireless was working, just not at home
Il try it at a mates again later in the the week

Do you have MAC filtering on?

lol sorry, using the Ipad again has caused the auto correction! What I meant to say is have you checked and tried to delete the AP [not "son"] of your router from the kindle by managing the connections. It may not have saved it, due to still asking for a pass but worth checking!
