I just brought a Belkin Fast Charger (from Spark for 109 bucks) and I tried charging my phone last night and in 10 minutes it moved up 8% (started at 64%) but as soon as I changed it back to the charger my phone (Samsung S9+) came with (the travel charger) and my phone was sitting at 95% within another 10 minutes.

Is Belkin not a good brand? Should I have gotten the Samsung branded fast charger? I just feel like I have made the wrong choice.

I'm guessing you know very little about the basics of charging so I'll try and sumamrise.

 

Firstly that's a wireless charger. It's limited to a maximum of 7.5W output and your phone should negotiate 7.5W (but in certain situations could step back and negotiate 5W). 

 

Your cabled charger will *always* charge faster than that wireless charger, and depending on exactly what cabled charger you have this will be fast charging at 15W or even 18W (I'm not sure what charger Samsung supply these days).

 

In a nutshell a cabled charger will always be faster than a wireless charger, and in your case your cabled charger will always charge your phone at least twice as fast as that wireless charger. There is absolutely no issue and nothing wrong with the wireless charger - it is doing just as advertised which is charging your phone at 7.5W

 

If you wanted faster wireless charging you would need to by a wireless charger that supports 10W or even 15W Qi - but even then for many technical reasons you will still find a cabled connection will typically always be faster.
