I recently bought a GPS tracker unit from Aliexpress, a TKStar 3G model.

Evidently, it doesn't work with 4G sim cards. I've purchased a 2 degrees sim, which in theory should work fine as they are not 4G (Are they?) - but alas it doesn't seem to work.

My vodafone SIM card from my personal phone does work. It is an old sim so probably a 3G sim card (Even though I can get 4G on my phone... I still don't know how the sim card can dictate the network..but anyway). There is an old thread on here from 2011 where someone says that only vodafone will work with these things... so I suspect this might still be the case 8 years later.

Problem is, every shop I go to only sells 4G Vodafone Sim cards. So... where can I get a 3G Vodafone sim card, anyone?

TIA :)

*sigh*.

So, I went to Alibaba to start the dispute process because I bought a 3G model and they obviously sent me a 2G model.

I click the link to the product.

annnnnnnnnnnd it turns out I fat fingered and bought the, quite clearly marked, 2G model.

100% my fault. Goddamnit.
