Hi,

I was able to download apps from appStore, however when excuted, it just exited after couple of seconds.

Even application such never uses network feature also not working.

However all the other applications which comes with iPhone works just fine.

I DID taken off SIM and put it back to my old phone to get contacts moved, although I'm not sure whether application was working before SIM taken off, cause never tried them that time.

Any helps, I really would like to see Bloomberg news flash on the go.

Cheers

Shin

I believe there's an activation process which you need to initiate via Itunes. To do this also requires data. Catch 22 if you have none Tongue out

Did you sign up for a data plan?

Are you using pre-paid?

(BTW: This should go in Mac OS X mobile forum, not the Vodafone one)

Yes, its iPhone dataplan and it's activated vis iTunes, if not activated it's impossible to download applications from appStore.

and Vodafone iPhone tech support is still on hold for 34min 30secs now.

I think it's Vodafone's problem rather than mobile OS X, it seems like it exited software when failed to get auth.

Hi, I am also having the same problem. I am trying to get the Facebook application. It will not install. How do I verify through iTunes?

Thank you

Download and install iTunes to your PC and run it. While iTunes active, plug your iPhone using usb cable. It will detect iPhone and let you register it, after that you can download applications.

This is a potentially large issue. As always, just not enough information dispensed throughout the CSR chains. It has been rushed to adhere to the 11th July date.

I just found that applications downloaded via Vodafone 3G network is working perfectly.
The applications downloaded via WiFi is still not working.
Yes, I deleted Bloomberg and reinstall it via Vodafone 3G network and is working fine.
I'm really feeling confused about it. I hope it's just a glitch they got, rather some kind of serious ripping off scam.

Seems like there's something wrong with the wifi you're on. have you tried on a different network?

WiFi I've used is my private network, and if it failed to download completely then it shouldn't run in first place after all.

The software downloaded via WiFi was working just around 5 sec and same software downloaded via 3G network works perfectly.

I'll try to download it using my WiFi again, to make sure whether it's just a glitch.

Cheers

Same problem here, I've activated my phone and it starts to download the app then says I need to do it via itunes NZ or that I only have access to Itunes NZ apps.

I've tried wifi and 3g :(

Try running iTunes and plug your iPhone. When PC detects iPhone, iTunes let you register for using appStore

Just confirming that downloading applications from WiFi network is working now.

I thinks there was glitch on their auth system, if your application just terminated after couple of seconds, uninstall and download it again.

Cheers
