Oooook just got my iPhone 15 Pro Max Natural Titanium 256GB from 2Degrees this morning.

Never received any shipping notification email. phone just turned up. (oh don't get me wrong. I am very happy about this)

Just thought I will share this in case you are refreshing your inbox for that shipping notification email like I was it might just surprise you. (if you are there to sign for it lol)

When did you place your pre-order?

The actual order (long story 😂)was placed by 2 degrees on 8:05am on the preorder day.

I am curious for those that have received their 15 Pro/Pro Max, are you experiencing the well documented overheating issues?

No, it's been completely cool. My XS ran much hotter.

Nope. No over heating at all. The phone is sweet as. My iPhone 14 pro max ran hotter sometime.

But this is interesting to watch. Could explain some cases maybe ? https://youtu.be/P6X2ZIkYFsQ?si=DRKkx8wTLeTCXMDB

Given my 12pro still runs smooth and all these issues being reported online, I’m definitely going to wait for the 16pro before upgrading. Hopefully that will make it worth the upgrade. I will be looking forward to all the upgrades from iphone 13 to iphone 16

Nope! Peachy keen here.

I saw some theories that it was related to specific apps - Instagram and Facebook were noted, neither of which I have - or some bugs to be worked out in IOS17.

I can also confirm that the glass on the back is still intact, the battery life is slightly better than my Pro Max 14 and by all other metrics, it is working perfectly.

I have the 15 Pro and only experienced it once during setup. After that - no problems.

Also no heating issue on my 15 pro max. I don’t speed all day in social apps however so that could be why

Me neither. Clearly, what's going on here is a battle between Facebook's app (trying to spy on you) and Apple's privacy policy (trying to stop it). Kind of like [pushes glasses up] when the 11th Angel begins hacking the Magi in Neon Genesis Evangelion episode 13.

I haven't had any issues.

The phone did get quite hot during the initial cutover from the old device to the new one, using the transfer wizard (which also wasn't very seamless). Additionally the eSIM activation had issues, but that was a OneNZ/process issue.

From then, the phone has gotten warm, but not hot. I use a mixture of apps daily, all with varying degrees of load for CPU/GPU.

I've used a Qi charger a couple of times, but hasn't gotten too warm, nor has it when charging via USB. Though it does get warmer if you are using the phone while it's charging - noticed while playing Spotify via airplay, charging, and doom-scrolling instagram one night.

Otherwise, it's been a pretty good experience, and certainly a nice upgrade from the iPhone 11 Pro.

I am looking at purchasing a MagSafe charger, so we'll see how that goes.

No heating issues for me either.

Although apart from Reddit, I don't have any other social media apps installed.

Well I can manage it, the mythical 3 day battery life. On its third full charge cycle iPhone 15 plus, fully charged Monday 7am made it to this morning 8am with 3% left. 10:58 hours screen on 62 hours screen off. No power saving techniques, wifi and cell on & connected to apple watch all the time.

8am yesterday morning I had 31% left so could do two days easily
