thecripplernz: Come to XT guys, the grass is pretty green over here, and it tastes good too

I agree, I can't imagine why anyone would actually consider Vodafone with these plans. Even though the handset prices are the same the rest of the numbers just don't stack up for me. Telecom looks a lot better designed to the usage profile of an iPhone

So it sounds like there will be an overwhelming "Occupy Telecom" tonight... ;)

reconfine: from the vodafone plan table:

** If you're on a 1, 12 or 24 month term you’ll get 1GB of data each month for 6 months while you remain on the plan. 1GB Add-On available for $20 per month after that period.

just add it on to the smart 45 or smart 65 and the only real difference is the initial handset discount.

<___< stop being precious.

You are then essentially making a $45 plan into a $65, and a $65 into a $85.
Might as well move to Telecom then and keep your costs low.

Yes. Now to make the decision on whether to head down to the Welly store tonight or keep the order I placed with Apple last week.

Both. Then you experience the launch tonight, and the thrill of a package arriving in the post, and unboxing a new toy Tongue Out

Personally as tempting as it sounds I'd keep the order with Apple, that way you are guaranteed to get it, know when you will get it and there is no confusion. Otherwise, stores could run out of stock, etc, etc. From the Telecom page itself: "Online pre-orders will take priority.".

I did, I was talking to the other guy though. Hopefully mines here from Telecom this coming week verses two-three weeks with Apple. It still hasn't shipped though.

Hehe, thought about that. But as Apple haven't taken my money yet, and if they haven't by this evening I could head down to the store and if I get to buy them tonight I would then cancel my order with Apple while I'm there before I pay Telecom for them ;-)

I try to avoid paying for anything with Credit Card with Apple as they almost always try to charge me two or three times for what I'm buying. iTunes store is fine but anything else and it almost certainly gets mucked up. Knowing your luck you'd try that and go buy it in store then they take the money out... lol

My order was with Apple last Friday just after they opened up the preorders. They still haven't taken payment yet though and its still possible to cancel the order until they do.

I have to say, I'm surprised Apple haven't taken payment today. I thought they would have.

To be honest I will most likely just keep my order with Apple, but heading down to the Telecom store tonight is very tempting

They take it out the moment it ships I'm pretty sure.

You could be right, especially as I only managed to complete the order last friday once and when I checked my account I had three completed orders for six iPhones!

I paid by debit card so at least I can track the payment in realtime online with my bank account.
