If you have a prepay sim it is capped as once you run out of $ on the sim it stops until you top it up again, so you won't use more and get a big bill as it's prepay. Telecom normally give you extra when you to up as well.
Like I said I use my iPhone all day for email and web browsing and the average I use is around 100 Meg a month which only cost me $10 a month and it's very fast.

Thanks, i tlooks like telecom offer the best plan for my needs. They did also do a speed test comparing VF with TEL at http://hubcommunity.co.nz/videos/xt-v-vodafone-–-on-an-ipad-filmed-22-july-2010/  Just a pity telecoms website and plans aren't more clear and less confusing, like it is on 2 degrees and vodafones

I was just curious so I monitored some forums overseas...

Looks like US / UK stores are getting iPad 2 stock replenished quite frequently... sometimes on a daily basis it seems.

Australian stores also seem to be getting stock replenishments.

NZ... when I checked with Yoobee they said it could be another 3-4 weeks before they get stock.

Is Apple Australia not allocating NZ's stock or something? Not too worried myself, just found it interesting as I recall even with the iPhone 4 there were stock replenishments arriving in NZ.

I saw my credit card has NZ$1289 less in credit, so it must be near...

mine just shipped as of a few minutes ago, I ordered mine about 1 minute after the site went live so I expect those who did the same will get theirs shipped shortly too if they haven't already

Mine is not yet showing prepared for shipment but I have been charged. That's happened overnight so fingers crossed it will change soon.

Got the email yesterday and mine is currently in Hong Kong, on its way to me. Yay! The Invisible Shield screen protector, that I ordered from Zagg at the same time, arrived this morning.

Just out of curiosity, did you order yours at the launch time of around 2:30am or did you wait till a slightly more respectable time after waking on Friday morning?

I only ask as I waited till about 9am on the Friday morning and am guessing I'll still be waiting a few days yet before mine begins shipping.

What is lame is Australia is getting new stock every few days. If Apple Australia are controlling the distribution for NZ then they are not being exactly fair in their allocations.

I'd hate to be a retailer of Apple products. Thin margins and priority is definitely given to Apple stores first.
