hey guys,

got the New iPad for x mas, loving it. It does most things I want it to, bar 1.

Mines only 16gb & is nearly full, I have videos on a 16gb usb drive that Im wanting to play now & then.

I've tried a few suggestions from other sites but no luck. The new iPad takes the 'lightning' plug connection.
I have bought a 'camera connection kit', it is essentially a usb extension.

it says there's not enough power when I plug the usb drive in directly & doesn't pick up anything on the USB drive when I use it via a powered usb hub.

most sites say to format the drive in FAT32, make a file called DCIM & name the file 8letters & file ext MP4.

none of this works.

The video files are too big for DropBox also, tried it, would only play part of each vid & the quality was a joke.

any ideas for this??

oh, Its not JailBroken & wasnt planning on doing that.
