Does anyone know where I can get a full, up-to-date, list of all the Apple TV 4 apps that are regionally available here in NZ ?

I take it you don't have one, and want to know whats there that you like?

Yeah, thinking about getting an Apple TV 4 but before I do, I would like to get some idea of all the apps that are available to us Kiwis.

Must admit, I kinda have a love-hate relationship with Apple; love that fact that all their gadgets, imho, are simply to use and just work properly for the purpose they were designed for but hate the fact that they are so "proprietary" and secretive about everything. Take for example, a list of Apple TV apps; I have googled this exhaustively and it seems that the only way to "see" all the available apps is to buy a Apple TV 4 and connect to the app store, whereas for the Amazon Fire, I can look right now at the Amazon App Store, no problems. I really do not understand why restricting access to the Apple TV app store is necessary; why not just allow browsing ?

I found it hard to see what was on Netflix without having to subscribe.

There are quite a few apps, many games. Aside from that its all sorts of niche rubbish, as you get with US TV.

NZ wise, 3Now OD, Fanpass, Netflix, Lightbox. Missing is TVNZ OnDemand, that can be Airplayed. I also have TED and Curiositystream. Couple of ISS apps which are cool. YouTube. WWE for daughter! Plex. There is a remote app so you can use iPhone for remote, easier for text search.

So, if you mean NZ video, as in OnDemand or streaming, most of its there. Plus the obligatory YouTube, access to iTunes content thats one you Mac if you had one. iTunes off course too.

For one it could be, hey thats not much, for me, its got all I want in one box, although TVNZ would be good to have
