Well I was quite looking forward to getting , all be it a 2009 model macbook air.

The unit is in lovely condition and I was feeling that a keen deal was made. Then I booted up to find no sound.

Three hours later

I am in the process of doing a fresh install of the o/s to see if that solves the issue , which after internet research is a extremely common issue.

I have a tried a multitude of suggested "Fixes". Living the outback (wanganui) I cant take a quick trip to the, what do they cal it genius bar?

I wonder why they are not like cars. When they get a common fault they do a recall.

Anyway I think I will wait to see if this reset fixes the problem

The only thing I didn't try , other than the thing that would fix the problem, is to do a "pram" ? reset is that the right word.

I f no luck will see about sending back to the seller.
