REALLY NOISY

FS or SWAP: Iomega Storcenter 250GB Network Drive + Print Server (Hawkes Bay)

Works with Win/Mac/Linux.

250GB.

REALLY NOISY

Probably powered on for less than 200 hours idle, and less than 12 hours of I/O.

Has one 10/100 network port and two USB ports for connecting printers or extra drives.

Selling as hardly used due to being REALLY NOISY.

THIS THING SOUNDS LIKE A LAPTOP COOLING FAN THAT HAS LOST ITS BISCUIT.

FAN RANDOMLY COMES ON EVEN WITH NO I/O.

NOT A SINGLE SHRED OF WIFE-APPROVAL-FACTOR HAS BEEN MANUFACTURED INTO THIS DEVICE. EVEN THE KIDS WILL GET PISSED OFF WITH THE NOISE.

Normal behaviour for this model - all the reviews complain about the same thing.

It has an easy to press power button, so would suit infrequent use, or if you have a location in mind where noise doesn't matter.

REALLY NOISY

Works greta. No faults.

$50 delivered. Or swap for W.H.Y.

Pickup in Hastings ($40).

Includes power cable.

REALLY NOISY

Does not include network cable.
Not wireless (but plug into your router and your WiFi clients can see it).
No software included - visit Iomega support for Storcenter Desktop <360GB for downloads and specs.

ubergeeknz: Just one question.

How noisy is it?

It's a print server - it'll be dead quiet ;-)
