Hi,

I have family who are about to travel over to Scotland for a holiday.  They are not wanting to trawl through maps while over there and would like to use a GPS.

Rather than buying a brand new one I suggested that it might be possible to use my TomTom One XL.

I have found the maps for sale/download for the unit, My question is though:

Will the device just pick up that it is now in Scotland (I assume yes going by the location it works out from the satellites)
Will it prompt for the correct map? or will it do it automatically?

These seem like silly questions, but I would like to know for sure before recommending a course of action.

Thanks

It will find at some point it's in Scotland, or you can just go into Settings and select Change Map.

I've done the same for my parents-in-law recently when leaving for an overseas trip.
